From the amazing mountain views to their quiet secret garden; Sacred Mountain Julian is the perfect getaway for free-spirited engaged couples. My absolute favorite part of this Sacred Mountain Julian wedding though? This incredible, madly-in-love couple. Molly & Asher share a love that just exudes joy, and it's been such a pleasure to get to know them while photographing their engagement & wedding day. Their wedding felt so down-to-earth, yet refined. I love that chose to include their super sweet golden retriever in their day! Besides being an amazing photo opt, including their dog into their wedding made the whole day feel more personal. Together with their closest family and friends, these two threw an elegant, yet laid-back celebration that I will never forget!
When Megan contacted me to photograph her marriage to Colin at the gorgeous Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, I was 100% ALL IN. Calamigos Ranch has been on my list of dream venues to photograph at since I moved to Los Angeles, and Megan & Colin's wedding there was definitely a photographer's paradise. First... Let's talk about the ceremony site: A gorgeous oak tree adored with twinkle lights and surrounded by vines. Need I say more?! Well... I wish I could just stop talking about the gorgeousness of this venue there, but NOPE. It gets better. There's a vintage Ferris Wheel. Yes, a Ferris Wheel! The venue was SO perfect for Megan & Colin's vintage inspired wedding! The couple filled their day with soft pastel colors, rose gold jewelry, and lots of love. I always love a bride who opts for an open back wedding dress, and Megan looked so stunning in hers! Colin wore a vintage inspired vest that was handmade by a friend of theirs.. How sweet is that?! Even with all the gorgeous details & awe-inspiring setting, I must be honest.. My favorite part of this wedding was photographing the one-of-a-kind love these two shared for each other. It's no secret that this Triunfo Creek Vineyards in Agoura Hills is one of my favorite venues in the Malibu area, but you probably didn't know that Nicole & Andrew's romantic & FUN wedding is the exact reason why I fell in love with the gorgeous space. From saying your vows underneath a gorgeous oak tree to dancing the night away underneath the stars, this place is so effortlessly dreamy & picture perfect. I could honestly photograph a bride all day long in their bridal suite.. it's pure magic! I was very happy to work alongside my friend, Geoff Captain Studios, on this gorgeous wedding!
El Matador Beach Engagement: Molly & Asher's Engagement
If you happen to be curious as to what soulmates actually look like, you've come to the right place. Molly and Asher's free-spirited engagement session at El Matador Beach + the Pier in Malibu was one of my favorite shoots to photograph to date. From the couple's perfect engagement style to their fun-loving attitude, they made my job so very easy. We started their engagement session with a milkshake at the Malibu Pier, but I'm saving that half of their session for later... This post is allllll about our incredible time taking pictures at this amazing beach. The weather was somewhat moody, but it created the perfect vibe for romantic, free-spirited photos. I cannot wait for their wedding in a couple of weeks at the Sacred Mountain Julian!
